RESURRECTION FEST is a three-day macro-festival that, in just eight editions, has become a reference for metal and hardcore-punk in the Iberian Peninsula and one of the main festivals in Europe within its style.

Dozens of thousands of young people reunite every summer in a matchless scene, placed between beach and mountain. They come attracted by the whole experience that this festival offer, enjoying a musical and sportive scheme that coexists with culture, nature and gastronomy of Viveiro.

Being the only festival with a similar offer (70 bands) in the national scene, RESURRECTION FEST has achieved year after year an increasing number of fans who arrive to Galicia from all the Spanish and European geography: Portugal, France, United Kingdom, Italy...

More than 143.000 people have already been at this festival throughout all these eight years. During last edition (2013), RESURRECTION FEST was able to gather 33.965 people on its three days.

Its low-cost policy (euro per band), the exclusivity of its lineup (unique show in Spain and Portugal for international artists), the differentiation among the other European festivals, and the involvement of its public are four vital factors for explaining the growth of the festival. The quality standard for the bands selection and offering a lineup more specialized in its genre is part of the philosophy which keeps intact since the beginning.

Throughout its history, world-class artists have played on this festival such as Slayer, Bad Religion, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, Trivium, Down, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Kennedys, Bullet For My Valentine or Bring Me The Horizon, or the main bands in national scene such as Angelus Apatrida, Soziedad Alkoholika, Berri Txarrak, Toundra or Lendakaris Muertos.

Other data from the festival are: one of the biggest band contests in Spain and Portugal, with more than 400 enrolled bands and more than 25.000 votes; 250 direct jobs and more than 500 indirect ones, with a socioeconomic impact in the region of 3.3 million of euros; more than 200 accredited press media from all around Spain, from France or Portugal; 100.000 people watching its live streaming on Interne; and presence at the top 20 of Spanish festivals on social networks.
