BRUMEIGHO is a traditional Galician music group born in 2023 by seven musicians committed to preserving and promoting Galicia's musical heritage. Their artistic approach combines the richness of tradition with the energy and freshness of the younger generations, offering performances that respect the essence of Galician music while exploring new sound possibilities.The band has a diverse instrumental structure, consisting of guitar, bass, bouzouki, three flutes/bagpipes, percussion, accordion and vocals, which allows them great versatility when performing different pieces from the traditional repertoire. They also choose to add samplers in order to emulate instruments that they do not play live, but which are recorded in the songs. The pieces they perform, such as alalás, muiñeiras and mixtures of the two, form the basis of their repertoire, always with their own identity that aims to stand out from the traditional Galician scene and break new ground without losing the tradition of Galician music.Since its creation, Brumeigho has already performed on various stages, participating in cultural events and musical gatherings throughout Galicia, although its career continues to expand. The band is also committed to spreading and teaching traditional Galician music.Each of their performances reaffirms their commitment to Galician identity, establishing itself as a new voice in traditional music and contributing to its evolution and dissemination.
