Factoría de Subsistencia

The musical creativity of the Rías Baixas and A Limia come together in this FACTORÍA DE SUBSISTENCIA project. Two people with their own respective artistic interests. On the one hand, Sabela Dacal (Xestreu, Emilio Rúa) and, on the other, Josito Porto (Korosi Dansas, Magritte).

The complicity between the sounds of Josito's guitar and Sabela's accordion mark an apparently simple style, without many complications, as stark as the nervous smile of someone who wants to pretend a false tranquillity from the bottom of his well. Influences? Many and varied, as varied as the music we have listened to throughout our lives and which, without realising it, have left their innocent mark on our shadows. There may appear small touches that lead us to think of Javier Krahe, SurfinBichos, Nacho Vegas, The Cure, Leonard Cohen, Albert Pla, folkloric reminiscences... or not, maybe we simply wanted it to be that way... or not.

We are FACTORÍA DE SUBSISTENCIA because that is precisely what we are about, creating, building, giving shape to the ideas that arise within us or around us, to the circumstances that continually overtake our beings, to the behaviours that try to give us continuous lessons of confrontation in the face of the coming.

We started out as a duo, JOSITO PORTO and SABELA DACAL, but we now enjoy the reinforcement and consistency provided by RAFA OTERO (electric bass) and ADRIÁN RÍOS (drums). Tomorrow we could be LEGION... WHY NOT DREAM?
