Zoar

Solid and functioning chamber ensemble consisting of a classic wind quintet. Together since 2009, they have performed in some of the most representative Galician halls such as Teatro Colón, Centro Ágora, Teatro Jofre or Cidade da Cultura, participating in big cultural events like the Premios de la Cultura Gallega, LVI Festival de la Ópera de A Coruña, Festival de la Luz and in some seasons of philharmonic societies.

Always searching for originality within their proposals, they add current or unkown tunes besides working with other artists and interacting with other artistic disciplines: Títeres Cachirulo, Manuel Rivas, Monicreques de Kukas, Lytos, Alfonso Rivera, Xiana Vilas or Ana Inés Jabares.

One of their main concerns is to support new creations contributing with novelties to the traditional repertoire and revitalizing the musical life. Proof of this is the fact that they premiere works of composers such as Gabriel Bussi, Xabier Mariño, Óscar Álvarez, Juan Durán, Federico Mosquera, Fernando Buide, Óscar Navarro, José Luis Turina or Paquito D’Rivera.

Likewise, they complete their artistic activity with their teaching work, being guest lecturers at the Orquesta Clásica de Xove and Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya.
