Kalte Sonne

Kalte Sonne is an instrumental post-rock-metal trio born in Lugo in 2013.

In 2014, “The Hum” EP was recorded at the Montealto studios (A Coruña) and they began to hit the stage. That same year, they also record "Terra Incognita (Searching the New Word Part 1)" (2015); a 15-minute song that the band in different places of the Iberian Peninsula.

In 2016 they release new material, "Searching the New World Part2"; a split with Octawitch with two tracks that add up to 20 minutes, recorded by Iván Ferro at Kollapse Stvdio and mastered at Audiosiege (Portland). Here the evolution of the band continues, both in terms of sound and composition. While touring this album, they shared the stage with bands like Aathma, Vircator or Monkey3, touring around Spain, Portugal, France and Italy.

The first full-length album, “Ekumen”, recorded and mastered at Kollapse Stvdio, was released in 2018; presenting this work, the band had the opportunity to play in different places in Spain, Portugal and United Kingdom.

Together with the Chinese band ALPACA, a split was released in 2019 including the song “Mareira”, recorded again in Kollapse Studio.

In 2024, the LP “Laniakea Communique” is released, a new album of four tracks recorded at Kollapse Stvdio by Iván Ferro, who collaborates with his guitar on the song ‘P3X-7763’, and with the participation of Abraham Cupeiro, who brings exotic sounds to the song ‘Anarres’, playing two instruments from the Middle East: the kawala (shepherd's flute) and the zurna (double-reed wind instrument of the oboe f
