A Sombra dos Soños is the musical project of Galician composer, guitarist, and singer Jose Carballido, in which rock and metal coexist with traditional Galician music and electronic elements. To bring this sonic universe to life, Carballido surrounds himself with a solid band of experienced musicians made up of Daniel Añón (guitars), José Roca (keyboards), Javi Carrión (bass), and Diego Lestón (drums).In 2023, the band released their first album, titled "I". Throughout 2024 and 2025, the project continued with several singles in which the traditional influence is heightened and electronic touches are incorporated, adding new shades to the band's sound. These textures coexist organically with the rock that has always been present in their music, combining intense, powerful moments with others that are more tender and intimate, without setting aside revelry and dance. These pieces eventually come together in the EP "Lembranzas Futuras," released in June 2026.In his project, Carballido reveals the ongoing transformation he undergoes as a musician and composer, drawing on his Galician roots, his classical training, and rock influences, all while keeping an eye on the avant-garde. A Sombra dos Soños is, ultimately, an offering that unites memory and innovation, tradition and modernity, in pursuit of a timeless work within its own unexplored universe.
