The Trunks is an indierock band, influenced by Incubus and Foo Fighters among others, formed in Sada (A Coruña) in 2011. They are Rodrigo Valiente (voice and keyboards), Manuel Nuky (guitar), Fran Yosi (guitar), Rubén Suárez (bass) and Rob Toretta (drums).In 2012, they performed at the 15th Festival Sonorama sharing stage with renowned bands such as Vetusta Morla, Love of Lesbian or Dinero. A year later, besides touring around Galicia, The Trunks manage to get into the Festival Sardines de Sada where they share stage with Dorian, Sidonie and Miss Cafeina. In 2014 they are awarded with the first prize in the Batalla de Bandas de Sada Rock, best band in Cuac FM’s A Coruña and best band in the Festival MúsicaXove (Santiago de Compostela); in that year, they also met in stage with several world-renowned bands like Los Suaves.In November they recorded their first video clip, “Mágica”, featuring María Mera as the main actress and in June 2015 their first album, “Bipolar” (2015), is released. They won the first prize in the Festival Castelo Music 2015 for best band and, in August, they take part in the Sonorama 2015, turning Praza da Sal upside down at the Red Bull Tour Bus stage.Recently, they won the first prize in the Rock in Río Tea 2016 bands contest besides playing at the Sonorama 2016 for a second consecutive year, a sold-out concert at Praza do Trigo. In 2016 they also start recording their second album, “Sobre excusas y fragmentos” (2016), at Estudios Neos, hand in hand with José Caballero and Alex Cappa.
