Alfonso Medela is a multifaceted pianist-composer-arranger born in O Carballiño (Ourense) in 1974.He has composed over a hundred songs, many of them awarded with First and Second Prize by "Xunta de Galicia".In 2003 he was one of the five finalists for the "Tete Montoliu” award as "Breakthrough Pianist of the Year". In 2006 in Valladolid he receives de "Racimo" award for his achievement with the "Guaguancó" trio. And in December of the same year, "Agamujazz" gave him the third prize in the Composition category.In 2011, Audia Records releases his new album: "Seven Colours", that includes the participation of top notch musicians like Jesús Prieto "Piti" and Carlos Carli among others. All songs and arrangements where done by Alfonso."Seven Colours" presents seven songs with a trio format and three songs with a septet ensemble. This album produces a unique collage with a common denominator: the universal language of music. When listening to "Seven Colours" and focusing on its interpretative level we can feel the different cultures and styles of its players. A solid album that with its eclecticism reflects perfectly the versatility of each musician and their footprint.
