Fernando Pérez Fernández

Fernando started his musical education in Lousame. When he was 10 he started his studies at the Professional Conservatory Felipe Paz Carbajal in Noia and later on he moved to A Coruña to get his advanced degree in the Professional Conservaroty of that city, where he also got his Bachelor's degree at the Advanced Music Conservatory with Ramón Carnota Méndez, specializing in classical guitar, but also studying group music, history of music, sight-reading, accompaniament, transcription, edition and analysis. He received "master classes" from very prestigious professors of guitar and ancient music. He has been teaching in Galicia since 2007 and has the pleasure of playing musical instruments made by Lourdes Uncilla, César Arias and Francisco Santiago Marín.

In 2013 he published his first CD as a solo artist with iTinerant Classics, “Feel Past Fret, un viaje por las emociones guitarrísticas”, where he plays music of Narváez, Sanz, Guerau, Legnani, Tárrega, Vide and Kapsperger, as well as seven original compositions, whose music scores are available in the book “Guitarra. Técnica e interpretación”, published by Dos Acordes.

During the school year of 2013/2014 he studied with professor Xavier Díaz-Latorre, amongst others, and he got his Master's degree in Ancient music performance at the Advanced School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC), in collaboration with Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB).
