Band founded in Lugo at the beginning of the seventies. Their repertoire focuses on Galician traditional music, on both the strictly popular music and their own compositions. Pararell to this, and being aware of the socio-political Galician reality, their commitment results in the addition of songs denouncing this reality: the poems of male and female Galician authors were made into songs as a claim of a people, a language and our own culture. They were, and still are, a band that managed to rescue many songs from the oblivion of time and that managed to reach all strata of society, and in Galician. With more than nine albums published and more than forty years of music making, Fuxan os Ventos has crossed borders and generations.
