Os d'Abaixo was born in 2010 with the aim of promoting and encouraging traditional foliadas around Compostela. The band is made up of musicians linked to Galician folklore, coming from folk bands with a long career such as Berrogüetto or Fía na Roca.Their repertoire includes some of the best known popular pieces of Galician music together with new contributions from traditional sources or new compositions. In their concerts, they offer a selection full of strength and energy, connected with a deep respect for the patterns of traditional music in order to incite the most ancestral dance. In 2014, the group's first album "Ao vivo en Lorient" was released, which includes 16 tracks recorded at the Breton festival in 2013. Three years later they released their second album, "Quixera ser dos paxaros" (2017), their first studio album, which includes a majority of previously unreleased Galician folk songs, the result of the research work of Xosé Ramón Vázquez, the band's accordionist at the time.In 2019, Santi Cribeiro joins the group and, after two years of work, they release their third album, "Somos a pedra" (2021), where, in addition to tradition and research, they include their own compositions; it also features Eliseo Parra, Xavi Lozano and María João.Os d'Abaixo are: Richi Marín (percussion), Santi Cribeiro, (accordion, backing vocals), Gon Goás (guitar, backing vocals), Xacobe Varela (bagpipe, bouzouki, vocals), Roberto Rama (bagpipe, saxophone, tambourine, backing vocals), Quim Farinha (violin, backing vocals).
