Arantxa Pérez

Arantxa Pérez (Catoira, 1986) began her music career almost accidentally after a school recital at the beginning of the 90’s. Not long after her breakthrough performance, she took part in several TV talent shows, such as “Téquele Téquele” from TVG, until she was 15 when she decided to pursue a career in music professionally, starting from her home setting as she used to entertain family gatherings.

Four years later she becomes part of different groups related to the traditional and cultural Galician verbena. During her first years as a musician, Arantxa combines her shows with her studies in automation.

Between covers and traditional songs, this catoirense decides to start her guitar lessons and soon she dares to write her own lyrics. Thus, at the end of 2013 she uploads her first songs to some social networks and halfway through 2014 she starts performing on her own.

Her first demo sees the light in 2016 where we can hear hits like “No habrá tiempo”, “Lo que queda de mí” or “Solo cuentas tú”, under the production of the Cuban musician and songwriter Joe Beltrán. Its instant success, both on social networks and the media, promoted the artist’s growth and the later development of what was her first record release in July 2017, “Hay tanto camino por andar” (2017), produced by Jordi Cristau (Manuel Carrasco, Fito & Fitipaldis).
