BEN RICHARDS JR (half man, half pig) is the personal and anonymous project of a pioneer from the old generations of Galician punk rap since 1995.

Since 2010, this artist from Ourense has delivered an annual chapter of his vision of today’s society, with remarkable versatility, creating a fictional character: a pig rapper who warns, through his prophecies, about the path our society is taking.

His music is filled with electronic drums, 80s-flavored drum machines, bass lines and futuristic synthesizers that blend with his committed and controversial lyrics, overflowing with irony and leaving no stone unturned, delivering messages that strike our consciences like a whip.

Neobuffoon, minstrel or genius, his work combines urban music, rap, electronic, rock and punk sounds throughout his records.

In March 2026, he presents his most furious and violent work, “Romántico cabrón 3 (Sálvese quien pueda)”, in which he portrays the harsh reality of the world we live in and the decay of social relationships. Without a doubt, his most striking release, loaded with hatred, resentment and point-blank shots to the vile chest of betrayal, heartbreak and life itself: a true settling of scores.

We still do not know his true identity: he has no active social media, he does no promotion... It is a bold proposal, iconic in its absurdity, a surprising mess as he defines it himself—but undoubtedly a sharp critique of our society and the current music scene.
