On February 23, 1991, four “rapaciños” made their debut at the Feira Vella in Ponteareas. It has now been thirty-five years since the band's debut, which also had its periods of retirement and dormancy. O Caimán do Río Tea made their appearance on the TVG program Xabarín Club with their song “Estou una Lavadora” their emblem, less than three minutes of rock that defined the personality of their sound, a song that surpassed the band itself and is now part of more than one generation. In 1995, they released “Feito na Casa,” their first album published by Sons Galiza, and won the V Certamen Galego da Canción, releasing a maxi single with five songs recorded at the Fussion studios in Vigo. Signatories of the “Manifiesto de Viana,” O Caimán do Río Tea was involved in the birth of the Unión Bravú, a generation of musicians from all over the country in which culture and music had their place. They added another song for the Xabarín Club, “Ven a Bailar.” The band retired to the Tea River until 2014, when they celebrated the 20th anniversary of “Estou na Lavadora” with the self-release of a compilation album and a concert tour that took them to festivals such as Revenidas, Terra Brava, and Antrospinos. In 2024, they released “Sandsbridge's Lonely Hearts Club Band,” a concept album paying tribute to their homeland, O Condado. And in 2026, “Voy Pa Portujal” was released by Ferror Records.
