Selvática

Selvática emerges in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro. Manu and Paula (Indómitos) emigrate to Brazil and decide to create a project gathering the energy and vitality of their new home along with their lifelong tastes.

In 2015, they release their first LP, "Un mundo extraño" (Mama Vynila/Discos de Kirlian), Album of the Year by Mondo Sonoro that, greeted with good reviews, establishes a starting point with a blend of songs that range between new wave, post-punk and African rhythms.

In 2016, they released their second LP, "Canciones Cariocas" (Discos de Kirlian) recorded in Rio de Janeiro by Manu and Paula at Estudio Bananeiras. This second LP emphasizes the pop character without forgetting the tropical nuances and the accelerated rhythms, post-punk, surfer guitars and dose of darkness and experimentalism.

At the end of 2016, they record their third LP "Seres abisales", a turn towards a darker and more forceful field, an album that emphasizes a sharper production, achieving an amalgam of cast-iron punk, scent of dark jungle and ethereal pop.

After the “SA" Tour, they recorded their fourth album "Macumba" (Orphan Records/Kirlian Records) at the end of 2018, a collection of adrenaline-popped pill-holes, a dose of darkness that came to light at the beginning of 2019. New straight and dynamic songs, with their classic surfer guitars, dream lyrics and deranged saxos.

Selvatica are: Manu G. Sanz (guitar, voice, saxophone), Paula Vilas (keyboard, voice), Luismi G. Almuíña (guitar), Brais Otero (bass, sax) and Daniel Nicolás (drums).
