Gold & Colt is an American folk band formed by veteran musicians from different corners of Galicia: Pontevedra, Bueu, A Guarda, and Santiago.The band is born in 2014 in Pontevedra by Dany Moure and Roberto Fernández. After playing on countless stages and releasing two studio albums, in 2020 they underwent a major change of line-up, giving them a new direction without losing their original essence. Gold & Colt is currently made up of: Álvaro Vázquez (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Roberto Fernández (lead guitar, dobro), Juyma Estévez (double bass) and Noli Torres (drums).Their new album, "Old Fashioned" (2023), is a collection of five songs that reflects the character of the new Gold & Colt line-up, a more country formation that is committed to older structures and sounds. On this album, the band captures their stories and feelings through a rootsy Americana sound, going back to the origin of the genre, but performing it with modern hands; hands that are not afraid to get muddy, mixing jazz, Delta blues and rock 'n' roll arrangements with country structures and angry lyrics.
