One of the most prominent groups in the bid for contemporary music and dialogue is the confluence between music and art. Since its start in 2010, Vertixe Sonora has turned into a salutary experience of the Spanish society; its non-stop debut of works allows Galicia to take part in the international sound creation with an active and challenging role, an irreplaceable role for the latest international generation of composers who find in their productions the chance to develop musical concepts within a global perspective in a constant state of upheaval in the pursuit of artistic excellence.

Made by outstanding contemporary music soloist from Galicia and Portugal, Vertixe Sonora combines sound artists, artists, jazz musicians, classical musicians and theater and dance artists that develop a varied and balanced programming and look for boosting the cultural ecosystem and the exchange-union of the territory. The Música y Arte Correspondecias Sonoras (CGAC) series and sonUTopías (campUSCulturae of University of Santiago de Compostela), the MIHLsons series in Lugo or Do Audible series with the Secretaría Xeral de Cultura and the Festival Internacional de Creación Musical Contemporánea are some contributions that are renewing the audience of classical music in Galicia.
