She was born in Barcelona in 1976 within the Seivane family, one of the most prestigious and famous names of bagpipers and craftsmen of Galician bagpipes. She began her musical career when she was three guided by her father, Alvaro Seivane. When she was nine, she moved with her family to Cambre (A Coruña). Once in Galicia, she encountered other master bagpipers such as Ricardo Portela and Moxenas who, along with her grandfather, Xosé Manuel Seivane, will be of great influence in the way she understands and interprets traditional Galician music. It did not take long before she earned the admiration and respect of the world of bagpipers in Galicia, beginning when she was 10 to give concerts all over the country.During her adolescence, Susana studied music and piano and was part of different traditional music bands. When she was 20 she started performing on the stage as a guest artist with the band Milladoiro. After that moment, she began her career as a solo artist creating a genuine style that far from losing sight of the pure air of old pipers, she opens it to the influences of other music. She creates this way, a fresh and original approach. A modern and agile mixture that deepens in the roots of the oldest Galician tradition, letting its branches cradle in the winds of new times.
