Marés Sonoras

Marés Sonoras is an encounter between different sounds from the Iberian Peninsula, with an eclectic vision of music that emerges between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, with influences from jazz to chamber music, moving through traditional flamenco.

When Galician saxophonist Patricia Cadaveira, who comes from classical and contemporary music, and Catalan percussionist Marcel Pascual, specialised in jazz vibraphone, meet in Porto (Portugal), their origins mixed with their musical experiences. As a result of this meeting, this Iberian connections project was born. They join forces with other collaborations such as Valencian percussionist Carlos Ronda, Galician double bass player Pablo Pérez and Asturian singer Marisa Valle Roso.

Since 2014, Marés Sonoras has performed in several locations around the Iberian Peninsula such as Oporto, Aveiro (Portugal), Catalonia, Valencia and Galicia; highlighting their participation in the Music Festival als Parcs de Barcelona, the Espazos Sonoros Festival in Galicia and Rede Cultural da Deputación da Coruña.

In 2019 they decided to give their career a boost with the release of their first album "Sueños Ibéricos" (2019), published by Temps Record label.
