Querido Extraño is one of Arturo Delgado's musical alter ego's since 2007, along with other solo projects like Paul Forrester or Rusty James. He has also been in several rock and powerpop bands; Los Fórrester, Doble Morgan, Gloomy House, Los Villanos de Boraville, Flip Corale y los Macabros...In this character of Querido Extraño, presented in the live shows with a cowboy hat, two guitars (the other played by Laura Solla), harmonica, primitive percussion (by Nico Lysergic) and tons of passion, he combines many styles to which he admits to be endebted, and proclaims to be a diffuser: rock, folk, country, blues, soul and garage from the 50's, 60's and 70's, and even some things (the little that's worth anything as he says) from the 80's.Here also we can find memories of other genres than these musical ones; classic cinema (Western, terror and detective), comics, (“Tales from the crypt”, “Creepy”, “Krazy Kat”, “Freak Brothers”...) and literature (Edgar Allan Poe, Norman Mailer, Mark Twain, Anxel Fole...). All this passed through his personal filter, with lyrics preferably in Spanish (though there are some in English and Galician), and afronting important themes, from the borderland, biblical, romantic, terror, alcoholic or from the morgue, with dark humour and wit, and always from the point of view of the eternal teenager we all have inside us.
