ALEX SILVA (Baltimore, A Coruña)canadian Duck TapesAlex is a composer, multi-instrumentist and sound engineer originally from the northwest region of Spain (Galicia), and currently living in Baltimore, MD (USA) He is very into electronic and contemporanean composition. He started playing in local HC-punk bands at the age of 15. Then he moved to Barcelona where he studied a Master degree in Music composition for films and he was selected as ASTROBOYZ (Canadian Duck Tapes / Struments Records) as participant at the Red Bull Music Academy (the only one from Spain that year) 2013´s edition that was held in New York.After this experience shared with 60 talents from over the world, and very known and famous teachers, he wants to do something different and find himself in the music composition career.His first album "MIND PATTERN EXPLORER", that was recorded in Estudios Montealto (A Coruña) with the help of Fernando Mejuto (Ictus), Jose Gutierrez (Dia de Furia), Hugo Santeiro (Guerrera) and Marcos Pazo (Ekkaia) on the drums marks the kick off of his career under his name.The debut album will be released on June 23th 2017 in a limited edition white cassette and it already received good critics from artists and friends like Dan Deacon, Claude Speeed (American Men), Throwing Snow, Kloke and many others.Alex also released "Exsamples" (Limited Edition Yellow Cassette) as Astroboyz by Canadian Duck Tapes this 2016.
