From Vigo, Carlos Ordóñez has managed to place his music in the underground, avant-garde of the 90s and early 2000s. He was a truly prolific character during these years: a pioneer of dark-tinged primitive techno with Prozack; he showed his most minimal and house side in Gauss; he joined HD Substance at Discodé to approach 70's disco music, house and Daft Punk; he set up the experimental Radio project together with Silvania, recording the delicious “Radio” (Elefant, 1999); and he teamed up with Alejandra Cabral to launch Grado 33, a cult group that left us the essential “Ya se oculta el sol” (The Sun Is Already Occult) (Autoreverse, 2002) before breaking apart. In 2021, he returns to the scene after almost twenty years of silence, using his own name for the first time. He releases "Retortoiro" (Ferror Records, 2021), a five-track EP that is a journey into the future when time fades away. A sound immersion marked by an apparent calm that hides a roar of tension underneath. Structures that float eternally on the horizon. Music to heal and to complete.
