Milesios is a folk band that collects and reinterprets traditional Galician and Irish tunes, following the old legend: Galician people, called Milesians, travelled to Ireland thousands of years ago, carrying their music with them. Milesios has been playing around Galiza since 2009, with well-known bands such as Berrogüetto, Coetus, Kepa Junquera, Pepe Vaamonde Grupo Quempallou or Tiruleque, to name just a few.In 2015, they received the award 'Folk en la Sierra - FIS 2012," ex aequo with BOC, and Menaya. In 2013, their first CD came out: “alén mar”, featuring Pilocha and Carolina Vazquez.
