Galician pianist with a renowned specialisation in the repertoire of Galician composers. He studied vocal accompaniment with the legendary Miguel Zanetti in Madrid and obtained his PhD from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2019.He has premiered numerous works by Galician composers, such as Carlos López García-Picos, Rogelio Groba, Juan Durán, Margarita Viso and María Mendoza. The dissemination of Galician music is a central focus of his work, reflected in a significant discography. Highlights include the triple CD ‘Antología de Compositores Gallegos’ (2013), together with clarinettist Asterio Leiva; “Evocación” (2016), dedicated to the solo piano works of Reveriano Soutullo; and the collaboration with mezzo-soprano Nuria Lorenzo on ‘(di) Versos Femeninos’ (2022). His most recent project is the LP A mansión dos anxos (2024), salon music for solo piano.In the field of teaching, he is Professor of Music, specialising in Repertoire with Piano for Instruments, at the Vigo Conservatory of Music.His cultural commitment was widely recognised with the Galicia Critics' Award (2021) and the Gregorio Baudot Music Award (2022). In 2022, he was elected a member of the CCG Plenary, where he was appointed director of the Galician Sound Archive. His position was consolidated in 2024 when he became a full member of the Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts and was elected a full member of the Institute of Vigo Studies, confirming his key role in the interpretation and preservation of Galicia's musical heritage.
