Founded by Luis do Muíño and Alberto Dubra, Mr. Kamándula was born as a band to let off steam, in parallel to other projects they both had, to quench their thirst for hard rock and to meet up with old friends from other bands from Cerceda, such as Alberto Cabezas and Suso Rodríguez. They started out doing covers but, during rehearsals, they begin to produce some of their own, always in Galician and, in 2013, they took part in Zënzar’s tribute album with a cover of 'Nacín Libre'.After several line-up changes, and with the addition of Brais Dubra (bass) and Alberto Salas (guitar), they record an EP with 5 songs at Taller studio in 2018. Produced by Carlos Areán, they launch it that same Christmas. The next year brings several concerts, highlighting the one where they opened for Kee Marcelo (ex-Europe) at Fórum Celticum (Culleredo). At the end of 2019, Brais leaves the band for academic reasons, and David Moss joins them for a concert in La Taberna (Cerceda), where friends from bands like Zënzar, Caudillos, 12Labirinto and David Brown also participate.Sadly, after a concert in Lume e Ferro (Carral) in March 2020, the band's activity—just like the rest of the world—stops due to the pandemic. It would not be until the second half of 2021 when they returned to the stage at Km79 (Ames), before going to Cimática Studio to record a couple of songs under the direction of Mahi Ferradás, along with ‘O Apalpador’ music video made by PixelinPhoto.
