
Ángeles Dorrio is a Galician vocalist with a wide experience in the music world, having previosly participated in recordings by various artists (Luar na Lubre, Carmen Rey, McRimas, etc.). She studied voice craft with Helen Rowson and Paul Harrington, as well as harmony, improvisation and modern singing at Escola-Estudio (Santiago de Compostela). She went to London to complete her training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.Dorrio was the female soloist voice of the acid jazz group VenueConnection, introducing their third album on national TV at Conciertos de Radio 3.She is currently a member of the trio Gospel 3, the vocal quartet Ejazz—twice awarded with the Martín Códax prize—as well as the choir Sisters in the House, among others.Simultaneously, she taught modern singing in A Coruña: at the Escuela de Danza Soul (2003-2006) and at the Escuela de Músicos (2005-2011), and was a contributor of the radio programme "Voces de A Coruña" for 11 seasons. She is currently a singing teacher in her own studio.In December 2013, she released her first solo CD, "Ten Soul"; ten songs that combine the different musical styles that influenced her over the years: jazz, soul, R&B, pop and folk.In December 2021, her second album, "Selegna", is released; an EP of four very personal and different songs, which she is starting to tour around live.
